Through a joint effort of the South African Weather Service, Department Environmental Affairs and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, a coastal Wave Energy Atlas for South Africa has been created. This Atlas is meant to be used by coastal engineers, coastal ecologists, wave energy exploration companies and more. A variety of wave energy statistic are provided, from easy to understand to technical. The Atlas will be available as a coffee table book and via GIS Layers for more advance users.
